What I found really annoying about the Playoff coverage was all the crap about Paplebon dancing. The media bought into it too much, and so did Paplebon. Thank you David Letterman for not going on and on about it. Anyhow, here is the interview on the show, I laughed out loud when he started talking about David Ortiz.
I was watching Game 4 of the World Series in the 8th inning when you start talking for 10 minuites about how A-rod opts out of his contract? Aren't you the same guy who went on and on about how Randy Moss was 'classless' back when he PRETENDED to pull down his pants and moon the crowd at Lambeau field in 05'?
Its bad enought that I have to be subjected to your biased coverage, and that I have to listen to your partner Tim McCarver babble and drool his way through each game.
I think the only way you're going to be able to redeem yourself in my eyes is for you to work the Patriots/Colts game on Nov 4th. Not only should you praise the Patriots every time you open your mouth, at half-time I think you should let Randy Moss pull down his pants and sit on your face.
The point of most sports is to score more than the other team to win the game. I know for a fact that this is the way that American football works such as the NFL. Now the other interesting thing about the NFL is that the teams that make up the leauge pay their players very..very well. So last Sunday the Patriots ($123M payroll) showed "no class" and "ran up the score" on the Washington Redskins ($120M payroll). Don't these guys get paid to play?? What people are saying is that the Patriots should have just not played after they had their 35 point lead. Weren't the 93' Bills down 35 points when they came back to beat Houston in what many call the 'Greatest Comeback in History' ???
Here's a great example of why these media reporters and 'analysts' need to shut their traps.. especially Steve Young. Read this :
